TE KOHANGA REO o TE AHO MATUA

Te Kohanga Reo o Te Aho Matua whānau commit themselves to the guiding principles of Te Aho Matua.

We are committed to the preservation and promotion of Te Reo me ōna Tikanga, the holistic development of our tamariki mokopuna and the creation and maintenance of a learning environment that enables us to achieve this.

We value Hapu and Iwitanga and promote these values where possible, providing ample opportunities to experience these values with close interaction with Te Wharekura o Arowhenua, other Kohanga and through the support of various kaupapa within our Māori community.

Currently we have a limited amount of space available due to staffing but are looking to expand our operations further in the new year. If you have any queries please feel free to approach our friendly Pouako as a first point of call.

Limited enrolments can be taken directly from our Pouako for 2 years and over. Enrolments for 2 and under need to be run past the Committee so as to best ascertain our ability to provide the best service we can for our tamariki mokopuna. Feel free to ask our Pouako for more information or contact our committee directly using the contact details provided below.

Our whānau expect the best from our Kohanga, Pouako and Committee. We provide ample opportunity for you to express your concerns and openly welcome your feedback. We operate an open door policy at all times. In addition to this we offer a monthly whānau hui that all whānau are required to attend.

Our dream is to produce confident Māori tamariki with the appropriate skills and knowledge to excel in the education system and ultimately the community at large. Ambassadors for te iwi Māori and Kaitiaki of our Te Reo me ōna Tikanga.
